It’s a new year, which means a fresh batch of employee spotlights. For January, we want to highlight Robert Seiler. Robert has been with Mokon for 11 years, starting as a warehouse worker, moving to assembler, and now serving in his current position as a test line technician.
In Robert’s role on the test line, no two days are alike: “There’s something different every day on the job,” he says. His routine includes coming in early to take down any units tested the previous day and prepping the next units before they’re tested. This includes programming controllers, setting overloads, and installing fittings to connect the units to the test line. Through testing, Robert ensures all customer-requested options work properly.
What Robert enjoys most about his work is the close relationships he’s formed with his coworkers. “I have made some good friends and learned a lot from the veteran guys I have worked with,” he says. During his time at Mokon, he’s learned how they supply their units to a variety of companies and for what purposes. “My son is always asking questions about what they do and to whom they are going,” he says.
Outside of work, Robert loves to golf and spend time with his family. He coaches hockey at Niagara University for their American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Men’s Division 2 team. Currently in his fifth year of coaching, his team finished its first semester with 21 wins and only one loss. They hope to be competing for a National Championship this March.
We’re so happy to have Robert as part of the Mokon team. Thank you, Robert, for everything you’ve done over the last 11 years! We can’t wait to watch you grow further.
