Mokon has designed an Xtreme-Therm Circulating Water Temperature Control System for hazardous locations that can operate at temperatures up to 250°F (121°C). This custom design uses a NEMA/Type 4 rated electrical enclosure with a Z purge system suitable for Class 1 Division 2 Group C/D and T3B area, a sealed mechanical compartment, and Watlow microprocessor PID controllers with remote setpoint and retransmission.
This system meets the requirements of the customer’s pharmaceutical applications in many ways. The system was constructed with 4 kW of heating capacity; the ability to pump up to 9 GPM up to 15 PSI; an adjustable high temperature limit with output along with an E-stop with remote start/stop wired to terminal blocks; a redundant heater contractor; automatic air purge; and high temperature and process thermocouples.
