Mokon recently engineered a specialized dual temperature control solution featuring a 50-ton air-cooled chiller with remote condenser and 72 kW water system. The build required comprehensive 304 stainless-steel construction, including the cabinet, electrical enclosure, and all wetted process plumbing components.
To meet our customer’s 80 GPM flow requirement, Mokon’s engineering team implemented specialized solenoids, heat exchangers, and pumps. The system was designed to handle substantial cooling demands of 744,000 BTU/HR while maintaining precise temperature control from 65°F to 230°F.
During the final stages of production, we accommodated the customer’s request to upgrade to energy-efficient SCR heater controls. This modification required additional engineering considerations, including enhanced electrical enclosure cooling with NEMA 4X-compliant fan covers. We also addressed pressure concerns by integrating an alternative pump solution.
Thanks to our team’s agility and technical expertise, we completed all modifications within two weeks, delivering a fully customized system that met both performance requirements and timeline expectations.
