Our April employee spotlight shines on Brandon Kennelly. He began his career at Mokon about 12 years ago as a Drafter/Engineering Assistant before reaching his current role as a Design Drafter.
Brandon plays a key role as a Design Drafter. He creates drawings for fabrication, including electrical, flow, assembly, sheet metal, and 3D modeling units. He also supports his fellow engineers whenever he can, such as helping assemblers clarify issues with their units, assisting other drafters in showing options, and troubleshooting printer or computer problems.
What Brandon enjoys most about his work is the unpredictability of each new challenge. He appreciates that no two days are the same. He says, “Today I could be working on a 3D model, tomorrow it could be electrical drawings, and the next day it could be helping someone on the floor with questions regarding their unit. Sometimes it’s all on the same day.” With all the tasks he handles, it’s no surprise that Brandon shares one of the most interesting things he’s learned at Mokon is “the sheer number of industries that utilize our units.”
Outside of Mokon, Brandon enjoys a variety of activities. This includes spending time with his family, taking mini road trips to explore new places, and learning new skills like Microsoft Excel.
Brandon, we want to thank you for your 12 years of service at Mokon. We know that you’ll continue to grow in the future! Thank you for all you do, Brandon!
